“My love of pottery started when I was in elementary school in Amherst. But I was unable to work with clay again until 2015 when I signed up for a pottery class and I’ve never looked back. The joy of making things I could use at home, or gift to family and friends, became a labor of love. I’ve apprenticed for 2 local potters and then started teaching pottery in 2019... Glaze colors, shape, and size are all factors that I think about when I’m creating my work, which is functional pottery for everyday use in the home. Each piece is thrown on a wheel or hand built with love so that the pottery can be enjoyed by the owner. No two pieces are alike; the work you purchase is a one of a kind pot, supporting a local artist.”
